The intent of the Meta Centre is to help adults, youth and children with developmental disabilities by providing services tailored to meet individual needs and choices.

The Meta Centre is currently seeking applicants that pose the skills, knowledge and experience working with individuals who have a developmental disability.

2 DAY PROGRAM ASSISTANTS (1 YEAR CONTRACT)

HOURS AND DAYS OF WORK

Monday – Friday 8:45am – 4:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS

DSW or diploma in a related field. At least two years experience working with individuals that have developmental disabilities. Strong written and oral communication as well as problem solving skills. Must have the ability to work as a team and independently. Must have a valid G driver’s license.

JOB DUTIES

To work hands on with individuals that have developmental disabilities and high support in daily needs in a Day Program environment. Responsible for liaison with other professionals and families. Responsible for paper work, attending meetings and other related duties. Responsible for developing and implementing curriculum and providing personal health care. Provide support in daily living as needed.
