The intent of the Meta Centre is to help adults, youth and children with developmental disabilities by providing services tailored to meet individual needs and choices.

The Meta Centre is currently seeking applicants that pose the skills, knowledge and experience working with individuals who have a developmental disability.

PART TIME RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR

POSITION: Part Time Residential Counselor at Courtlands (Scarborough)

HOURS AND DAYS OF WORK

6am – 9am Monday – Friday ► 15 hrs per week

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma or certificate program in a related field. At least one year experience working with individuals that have developmental disabilities. Must have a valid G driver’s license. Strong written and oral communication as well as problem solving skills. Flexibility in regards to schedule must be able to work day and evening shifts. Must have the ability to work as a team and independently.

JOB DUTIES

To work hands on with individuals in a Residential environment. To assist with personal hygiene, prepare nutritional meals, administer medication, complete appropriate paperwork and documentation, attend meetings, accompany individuals to appointments, and other related duties. Provide support in daily living as needed and assist in planning leisure activities in the community.
