Volunteers

Please note that we are currently on a freeze for volunteers.

We appreciate the many volunteers who contribute their time and energy in support of our clients, our staff, and our mission. Our volunteers are vital to our work, and a highly valued component of the Meta centre team.

We are always looking for people who are supportive, sensitive to the needs of others, and interesting in making a real difference in people’s lives. We do our very best to ensure that our volunteers find their time with us to be personally rewarding.

Before being assigned, volunteer applicants receive a screening interview and a police reference check. Our volunteers serve in a supportive role to staff, and are most frequently involved in Day programs and respite services. Volunteers are not left alone with clients and do not take part in emergency protocols.
